01Accepting these terms

By adding crying to a Discord server, using any of its commands, or using crying.rest, you agree to these terms. If you're managing a server on behalf of someone else, you're confirming you have permission to add bots to it.

If you don't agree with something here, the remedy is simple: remove the bot and stop using the site.

02What crying is

crying is a paid, invite-only multipurpose Discord bot. Access is granted per server, after purchase, by whitelisting that server. The bot provides moderation, utility, voice, economy and automation features, plus a web dashboard for configuring them.

Features change over time. We add, improve and occasionally retire commands. We'll avoid breaking things people rely on, but we don't promise any specific feature will exist forever.

03Who can use it

You must meet Discord's own minimum age requirement for your country, and comply with the Discord Terms of Service at all times. If Discord bans you or your server, that decision stands here too.

04Access and whitelisting

Purchases unlock access for the specific servers you tell us about. The bot will leave any server it hasn't been whitelisted for.

• Access is tied to your account and the servers you register, not to a licence key you can pass around.
• You can move access between servers by asking us in a ticket. Don't sell or lend your access to someone else.
• We may cap how many servers a single purchase covers. If we do, we'll tell you before you buy.

05Things you can't do

Don't use crying to:

• Break Discord's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines or Developer Policy.
• Harass, mass-mention, raid, dox or target anyone.
• Run mass DM campaigns, advertising bots, or anything a reasonable person would call spam.
• Distribute malware, phishing links, stolen accounts, stolen media, or illegal content.
• Abuse, scrape, overload, reverse-engineer or attack the bot, the API or the site.
• Resell, sublicense, rehost or rebrand any part of crying as your own product.

06Your servers, your content

Anything your members post stays yours. We don't claim ownership of your messages, media, or server configuration.

You're responsible for how the bot is configured in your server, including which members you give access to which commands, and what your moderators do with them.

07Uptime and support

We aim to keep crying online continuously, and we watch it closely. That said, this is a service that depends on Discord's platform, our hosting provider and the wider internet, so we offer it as is, without an uptime guarantee or SLA.

Planned maintenance is announced in the Discord server where practical. Support runs through that same server.

08Ownership

crying, crying.rest, the name, the branding, the source code and the dashboard remain ours. Buying access buys you the right to use the bot, not any ownership of it.

09Limits of our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost data, lost members, lost revenue or damage caused by a misconfigured command. Where liability can't be excluded, it's limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything that can't legally be limited.

10Ending access

You can stop at any time by removing the bot from your servers.

We can suspend or end access if you break these terms, if a payment is reversed, or if required by Discord or by law. Where the situation allows it, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to fix it.

11Changes to these terms

We'll update these terms when the service changes. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes get announced in the Discord server. Continuing to use crying after a change means you accept the updated terms.
